In a Violent Nature 2 Sets 2027 Release Date

Shudder and Independent Film Company have set a release date for “In a Violent Nature: Part 2.” The horror sequel will open on February 12, 2027, just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend.

The news was shared during Shudder’s New York Comic Con panel, where Ry Barrett, who plays the masked killer Johnny, showed up as a surprise guest. Barrett returns for the sequel, along with the creative team behind the first film.

The movie follows up the 2024 breakout slasher “In a Violent Nature,” which made $4.5 million worldwide. The first film told its story from the killer’s point of view. The sequel picks up right where that one ended and sends Johnny to a summer camp, where the violence continues and his backstory gets more attention.

Nate Wilson and Chris Nash co-direct the new film, and Nash wrote the script. Peter Kuplowsky, Shannon Hanmer, and Nash are producing.
